I’ll never have another Lunchbox in Green Bay (2008-04-16)
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the split up of the band. Some rumors may not be strictly false, but our main reason was to get out in time. Honestly – how many of your favorite bands did quit in time? We could probably have continued touring for years, releasing a new album every now and then, but we just weren’t willing to play such a hazardous game with something as important to us as The Hellacopters.
I’m really grateful for all the extensive touring we did over the years, travelling to distant places as Tasmania, Japan, Brazil, meeting people we would never have met if it hadn’t been for the band. Now it’s time to close the spiral that several times has taken us around the world, but there are still a few more shows to be done. I’m really looking forward to the festivals this summer and our farewell tour in the fall. Hope to see you there! And by the way, if ever in Green Bay (Wisconsin) make sure to try the local Lunchbox - an exotic drink you’ll never forget. Salute,
